Where Passion Takes the Stage

We are excited to celebrate our annual recital on June 12, 2027, at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, with performances at 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Our recital is the highlight of the season, showcasing the dedication, growth, and accomplishments of our dancers in a professional theatre setting.

From our youngest performers taking the stage for the very first time to our graduating seniors, every recital is a celebration of artistry, confidence, and the hard work our students have invested throughout the year. We look forward to sharing this special day with our dancers, families, and friends as we celebrate another incredible season at Michigan Academy of Dance + Arts.

    Tickets go on sale online and at the Macomb Center box office

    Saturday, May 1
    Recital t-shirt forms, Happy Ads, and program ads due

    Monday, June 7
    Last day of regular classes

    Tuesday, June 8
    Studio Rehearsal
    Held at the studio, wear class attire
    Rehearsal for the Saturday 12:00 PM performance
    5:00–6:30 PM dances before intermission
    6:30–8:00 PM dances after intermission

    Wednesday, June 9
    Studio Rehearsal
    Held at the studio, wear class attire
    Rehearsal for the Saturday 5:00 PM performance
    5:00–6:30 PM dances before intermission
    6:30–8:00 PM dances after intermission

    Thursday, June 10
    Recital Pictures & Dress Rehearsal
    Held at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts, wear costume

    Saturday, June 12
    Recital Performances

2027 RECITAL HANDBOOK

COSTUMES

At Michigan Academy of Dance + Arts, great care is taken in selecting age-appropriate, high-quality costumes for each class. Our goal is to ensure dancers feel confident, comfortable, and stage-ready.

  • Each student will need one costume per dance subject they are enrolled in.

  • Tights and shoes are not included in the costume price and must be purchased separately.

  • Costume order forms and payments are due in November to ensure timely delivery for studio photos and organized distribution.

  • Costumes cannot be ordered unless the full deposit has been paid.

  • Please note: Costume manufacturers do not accept cancellations or offer refunds, so MADA is unable to provide costume fee refunds under any circumstance.
