Discover the joy of singing in a welcoming, encouraging environment where every voice matters. MADA Choir at the Michigan Academy of Dance + Arts is designed for children and teens ages 6–18 who love music, want to build confidence, and enjoy performing as part of a supportive community.

Whether your child has years of singing experience or has never been in a choir before, they'll find a place here. No auditions or previous experience are required. Just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!

Why Join MADA Choir?

MADA Choir is more than a traditional choir. Our program combines quality vocal instruction with engaging rehearsals, meaningful performance opportunities, and a welcoming community where every singer is encouraged to grow as both a musician and a person.

Throughout the session, students will:

  • Build confidence through singing and performance

  • Learn healthy vocal technique and breath support

  • Develop musicianship, rhythm, and pitch accuracy

  • Learn to sing in harmony and as an ensemble

  • Improve music reading skills

  • Strengthen listening, teamwork, and collaboration

  • Develop stage presence and performance confidence

  • Explore exciting repertoire including pop, musical theatre, holiday favorites, inspirational music, and more

Every rehearsal is energetic, encouraging, and designed to help each singer succeed while making lasting friendships.

Class Day: Tuesdays
Time: 5:00–6:30 PM
Session Dates: September 15 – December 1, 2026
Holiday Concert: Friday, December 4, 2026 (Evening, held in studio)
Dress Code: Casual, comfortable clothing
Tuition: $250 for the 12-week session (due September 1st)

Performance Opportunity

The session concludes with an in studio festive Holiday Concert on Friday, December 4, 2026, where students will perform for family and friends in a fun, supportive atmosphere. This special performance celebrates everything they've learned throughout the semester while giving every singer the opportunity to shine.

ALICIA BRYSON

Alicia Bryson is a dedicated and accomplished music educator with over ten years of experience teaching piano and voice. She has directed one of the largest youth choirs in the Sterling Heights area, where she has built an inclusive, student-led program known for developing musical skill, confidence, and leadership in young performers.

Alicia has guided countless students from early childhood through young adulthood, with many continuing on to collegiate and professional music programs. Her background includes extensive work in youth music direction, piano accompaniment, and private instruction, as well as curriculum design and mentorship for developing musicians.

Outside of teaching, Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons.
